IDLE DEFENSE MAX

Privacy policy

How Idle Defense Max and this website handle your data.

Last updated: 1 November 2026 · App version 1.0.0

Your game stays on your device. Idle Defense Max works without an online account. We do not receive your local player names or progress. Visiting this website and contacting support involve separate processing described below.

2. Data in the game

The app stores player names, profile identifiers, settings, castles, currency, upgrades and progress locally on your device to provide the game. It does not transmit these data to us. The current version has no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, in-app purchases, server accounts or cloud synchronization operated by us. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone.

If you choose to export diagnostic or balancing files, they are saved locally. We receive them only if you send them to us, for example with a support request. Please check the contents before sharing.

Local processing serves to provide the game you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not have remote access to your device or save files.

3. Delete profiles and manage your data

Open the player selection screen (restart the game or use the player-switch control on the world map). Tap the trash icon beside a profile and confirm deletion. This removes that profile and its associated local progress. Use the pencil icon to change a player name. There is no server account to delete.

Profiles remain on the device until deleted. Deleting the app through iPad Settings → General → iPad Storage → Idle Defense Max → Delete App removes its app data from the device; offloading the app keeps its data. Previously exported files and system backups are separate. You manage their deletion in Files and your Apple backup settings. An operating-system backup may contain game data; we cannot access those backups.

4. This website and hosting

This site is hosted on our server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you access it, the server processes your IP address, request time, HTTP method, requested path, protocol, response status and response size to deliver the page and protect the service. Website access logs are rotated daily; the active log and up to seven daily archives are retained (normally no more than eight days). Technical error logs use the same retention. Relevant records may be retained longer when needed to investigate a specific security incident.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider processes connection data as a service provider. This site has no analytics, advertising cookies, newsletter form, embedded third-party media, external fonts or browser storage. All page assets are delivered from this domain. There is no tracking consent to manage.

5. Support by email

If you email us, we process your address, message and any files you choose to send to answer your request. This is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for requests relating to use of the app, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence. Email infrastructure providers process messages for delivery and storage. We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve the matter and meet applicable legal retention requirements, then delete it. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary personal information.

6. Apple and external links

Apple handles App Store downloads, payments for an app download where applicable, and any operating-system backups under its own terms and privacy policy. Diagnostic information you choose to share with Apple may be made available to developers through Apple’s tools under your device settings. The game itself does not send us diagnostic reports. Opening an external link connects you to the selected provider.

7. Children

The game does not ask for age or contact details and does not offer chat or public profiles. Local names are not published or sent to us. A nickname is sufficient for a player profile.

8. Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, particularly against processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw any consent you have given with effect for the future. Contact nils.langner@startwind.io to exercise your rights. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete data that exist only on your device; use the controls described above.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, including the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

9. Changes

We update this policy when the game or website’s data practices change. The date and app version above identify the practices described here.
